Teeing off for a great cause
Central Elementary, Duke Energy, Upstate Scuba, Sardi’s Den and the American Cancer Society are proudly teeing up to raise money for cancer research. Mark your calendars for the First Annual Scott Putnam Benefit Golf Tournament to be held on Friday, April 3 at the Pickens Country Club. Lunch will be at 11:30 a.m. and the four-person scramble will begin promptly at 12:30 p.m.
This day of fun is dedicated to Scott Putnam, a Central Elementary parent who lost his battle with colon cancer last year. The faculty, staff and student body of Central would like to honor Scott’s memory by donating all tournament proceeds to our school’s American Cancer Society/Relay for Life team.
Swing into spring and enjoy a great day of golf with friends or clients while supporting the American Cancer Society. Hurry — deadline for registration and/or sponsorship is Friday, March 13. If interested, please contact Tina Hall at (864) 639-2311 or visit our school’s Web site at ces.pickens.k12.sc.us to download a registration form.
