Former West-Oak star Lee named to Pro Bowl

SAN FRANCISCO —After a one-year absence, former West-Oak High School star and current San Francisco punter Andy Lee is headed back to the Pro Bowl.

With one game left to played this year, as the 49ers will travel to St. Louis on Sunday, Lee is averaging 47.7 yards per punt with a long of 64 yards, while he has pinned 28 of his 90 punts inside the opponents’ 20-yard line.

Lee’s net average is currently 41.4 yards, which is a career high for the six-year veteran, who was honored with a Pro Bowl invite and All-Pro honors in 2007.

The Pro Bowl will be held on Jan. 31 at 7:30 p.m. at Dolphin Stadium in Miami, one week ahead of the Super Bowl.
