High school roundup: Bobcats drop thriller to Wren

PIEDMONT — The Seneca High School boys’ basketball team lost an overtime heartbreaker in a make-up game against Wren on Wednesday night by a final score of 55-54.

With the game tied and just three second remaining, the Bobcats (5-14, 2-4 Western 3A) were called for a blocking foul. After missing its first free throw, Wren hit the second shot to win the game.

Seneca was led by senior Harry Jenkins with 15 points, while Cameron Blassingame and Dorrecus Goodine each finished with nine points.

The Bobcats will be back in action on Friday at 6 p.m., when they travel to face rival Daniel. That game will be closed to the public.
